OUR PROGRAMS
Through grants provided by the government and our partners, we are able to offer the Valley a wide variety of services. Currently ADV offers meals to the elderly along with housing through our 9 locations within the Rio Grande Valley. For more information about our programs please follow the links below.
NUTRITION
ADV offers the following:

Transportation to and from Centers

Excursions: (Two outings per week – Mall, flea market, beach, museum, basilica & other fun trips)

Nutritious Hot meals at centers – Come Join Us!!

Home Delivered Meals

Health Education (Diabetes, Health plans, Blood Pressure, Etc.)

Activities (Chalupa, Card Games, Dominos, Nintendo Wii)

Dances with Live Music
Who Qualifies?
-
Individuals 60 years of age and older.
-
Spouse is eligible and participates at the nutrition site.
-
Serves as a volunteer at the nutrition site in accordance with OAA standards.
-
Disabled/ resides in the housing facility and wants to participate in the congregate meal program provided at the site.
-
Disabled and lives with the person participating in congregate meal program.

HOUSING SERVICES
AMIGOS DEL VALLE, INC. HAS HOUSING PROJECTS UNDER HUD 202 SECTION 8 FOR THE ELDERLY AND IS CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE RENTAL PROPERTIES. YOU MAY CONTACT THE HOUSING PROPERTY MANAGER IN PERSON OR BY CALLING ANY OF THE HOUSING PROJECTS OF YOUR PREFERENCE. IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE IN COMPLETING THE APPLICATION PLEASE CONTACT THE HOUSING PROJECT MANAGER. A LISTING OF ALL THE HOUSING PROPERTIES ARE WITHIN THE LINK BELOW. THE DIFFERENT HOUSING PROPERTY SITES VARY IN BEDROOM SIZE BUT HAVE APARTMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS:
ONE OF THE REQUIREMENTS TO QUALIFY IS THAT YOU MUST BE 62 YEARS OLD,BE HANDICAP,OR MOBILITY IMPAIRED. YOU MUST ALSO QUALIFY UNDER THE INCOME LIMITS.
