Healthy Neighborhoods - While rotating through community service was able to do research on health care costs that assisted Healthy neighborhoods program in receiving a substantial grant.  I was credited for the research.  I am glad I was able to assist this worthy program that provides a great deal of assistance to our community.

Started Science Olympiad teams at each district I taught in.  Weslaco brought freshman team to state where the team took Team spirit award and 3rd place in scrambler event.  Santa Maria ISD is a 1A school district, high school enrollment 150; team finished in top half of Regional qualifier meet with one 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place against 5A schools.

Awarded HEB grant for an environmental project.

Nominated for Teacher of the Year in 1999 at my campus.

Lifetime Texas teacher certification in History and Composite Science
